The Some Awesome Community is a family-centric group of individuals who delight in the nerdy bits of life. We encourage you to become a part of the wonderful community, whether you’re a gamer, geek, nerd, or just like to generally be creative & have fun!
The Some Awesome Minecraft Community is one of the most dedicated groups we have, and we pride ourselves on our sense of friendship and service to the Minecraft player base. If you would like to join our little bit of online fun, please read the server rules and feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Our Server
Our server started off as the family LAN server for the LeMorris family in early 2012 (the map is still technically called LeMorris). In March 2013, it was decided that we needed a 24-hour server our community could call home. We thought about loading a brand new map but eventually decided to go with the existing world since it already had things in place to help, like a safe house near spawn (that eventually became the command tower), a farm, and a hotel for temporary stays while players found a plot to begin building. Hence the Some Awesome Minecraft Server was born.
After a while, it became obvious that the in-game chat was not the best place to coordinate activities and share experiences for the community, so the Facebook group was created, and it has been the best decision we’ve ever made for our players. These days, we are able to share not only the fun of the server, but also Minecraft fun for Xbox, Playstation, WiiU, and Pocket Edition as well as News and pictures. We’re glad to be growing every day.
Right now we are running two servers, both on a 1.12 Spigot build. We have 2 very large worlds (we have found all the new biomes), and we do our best to facilitate a sense of companionship, happiness, and trust on the server. We oftentimes keep an alternate server around for game nights, creative builds, or just to load new maps or mods to check them out.
We do our best to treat all of our players fairly. We have lots of kids on the server, so they are given a little more patience, as kids often require. Some of our players have even adopted certain service-specific roles, and we have an active team of admins to keep things running & events fun.
